I am currently a Ph.D. Candidate in Political Theory at the University of Chicago, specializing in the history of anticolonial political thought, democratic theory, and empire and international thought. My dissertation project offers a new interpretation of the anticolonial democratic project and revises the dominant narrative of the colonial transition from empire to democracy. I expect to receive my Ph.D. in 2020.
My research is forthcoming in the American Political Science Review. In 2019-20, I will be finishing up my dissertation with a dissertation-year fellowship from the Andrew Mellon Foundation.
